Pay: $33–$55/hr + super ($65k–$109k a year)

About the Role:
We’re looking for an experienced boatbuilder / shipwright to join our growing workshop. You’ll may have the skills and confidence (or be willing to develop them) to run jobs from start to finish, supervise an apprentice or small team, and uphold our commitment to quality.
Your work will include:
Fibreglass and composite repairs and reconstruction (epoxy/polyester/vinylester)
Timber repairs and restoration (traditional and modern)
Modifications and custom projects
Fairing, gelcoat, paint, and finishing work
Supervising and mentoring apprentices
Occasional marina/offsite work around the Lakes (company vehicle provided)
This role also offers a clear growth pathway, with the potential to step into a Team Leader position as our team expands.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you’ll need to:
Have strong boatbuilding experience across fibreglass and/or timber work
Be confident running jobs independently with attention
to detailHave experience, or a willingness to develop skills, in high-end internal marine joinery and fit-out
Be capable of mentoring apprentices and contributing positively within a small team
Be reliable, organised, and safety-conscious
Hold a current driver’s license
If you need constant direction, or you’re happy with good enough, this won’t be the right fit

Based in Bairnsdale, we service the Gippsland Lakes region, from Lakes Entrance to Paynesville.
